Cheryl and Ice Cream

New Babies

I spent my one month salary yesterday.
Within an hour it was all gone.
But I got a new lens and dry box.
I could not ask for more.
Santa do come earlier this year.
I am happy.

When I Was Born

My mom and dad made me this 22 years ago.
And I'll give it to my future baby.

Sandwich Sunday

My best friends can turn a frown into a smile.
We had this unplanned sandwich day yesterday.
We went shopping in the afternoon.
The most fun part of it is when we are preparing the sandwich.
Most of all,
we can save some money.
It is cheaper than eating out.
We love to eat.
And our money is limited.
So we have to find a way out.
And we did it.

Ingredients:
Toast Bread
Fresh Lettuce
Fresh Tomatoes
Scrambled Egg
Beef Luncheon
Curry Tuna
Cheese
Mayonnaise
Baked Beans
French Fries

In the Name of God

A few days ago,
when I went out with my friends,
one of my friend's mom called her.
She was using the loudspeaker mode,
so we could hear it.
Before she hung up the phone,
her mom told her something
that really impressed me.
She said,
"In everything you do,
do not forget to say Bismillah
(In the name of God)
so whatever happen,
even if any bad thing happen,
its all already in His plan."
It reminds me of my favorite passage in the bible.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts
that I think toward you,
says the Lord,
thoughts of peace and not of evil,
to give you a future
and a hope.

One Hand Man

See the pictures above.
This man has only one hand.
And he is still working for his life.
He do not give up.
He do not just sit around
and wait for people to feed him.
One hand will do.
In life,
we often see the things that we do not have,
and take for granted for the things we have.
So from now on,
start to say I do have,
instead of I do not have.
For in life,
you will not have every thing.
And make sure you appreciate well enough,
for the things you have.
For I believe,
this is what God wants us to do.

Virgo and Aries

It seems that Virgo and Aries have nothing in common,
but if you overcome initial differences,
you will realize that you both can learn a lot from each other.
At first, dominant and aggressive Aries
may scare shy and reserved Virgo.
Aries is impulsive and brash,
which can intimidate warm and compliant Virgo.
The differences, however,
cannot hold you back from making a good combination.
Both of you share strong energy that can break any barriers holding you apart.
Virgo always wants to have a plan in hand
and does not like leaving things for fate to decide,
whereas Aries craves for excitement and lets things work out on their own.
Though you have different styles,
there are things you can learn from each other,
if you decide to be more open.
Aries can learn about the importance of being orderly,
while Virgo can be highly motivated by Aries.
You can connect on more than one aspect,
since the two of you are honest
and dislike going against your moral values.
Uneasy moments can occur in the relationship
due to Virgo's constant criticism
and bringing up past mistakes.
VIrgo analyzes too much,
which make Aries impatient
and may opt to quit the relationship.
If these two personalities were to rub together,
they will most certainly generate friction,
because both have different ways of handling situations.

Real Steel - A Must Watch Movie

I just got back from the cinema.
I watched Real Steel.
At first I thought it was just a movie about fighting robots.
Well it's not.
There are a lot more than that.
It's about keep fighting even when people think you are nothing.
It's about getting back even when you keep falling down.
It's about staying true to the people who love and care for you.
It's about taking chances regardless of the consequences.
It's about listening and understanding other people.
It's about admitting your mistakes and trying to fix it.
It's about respecting other people.
And most of all,
It's about a father's love towards his son.

My favorite quote from the movie is,
I want you to fight for me
(Max Kenton)

Birthday Surprise

My brother in law and me made a small surprise for my sister.
We did not buy a birthday cake though.
We did buy burger for her.
And she still got a candle to blow.
It maybe not the best surprise ever
But it's the heart that counts right.
I am sure she can feel our sincerity.
And our love.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CECE!!

Happy Birthday Dearest Sis

From the beginning,
Our childhood years.
You stood by my side,
Like a shorelines high tide.
We journeyed through Everest,
Experiences afar!
When I was in trouble
You were always my double.
As we grew older,
We didn't slow down.
From birthdays to weddings
To a childs cute beddings.

As time would escape us,
Your voice was so neat,
Memories to cherish
A sister so sweet.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
My partner in crime.
When we're together
Life seems so - sublime

Starbucks - Mega Mall

Monday Bliss

Spent another day going out with my besties.
From 2 until almost 11 pm.
It was so much fun.
As usual.
We had Taiwan Street Snacks and McDonald.
We also went to Happy Puppy.
Karaoke time.
Two nights in a row.
And we ended it at my home.
We bought Indonesian pancake called martabak,
and we watched stand up comedy by Raditya Dika on youtube.
It was hilarious.
I feel so blessed.
Thanks God.

Sunday Night

I always enjoying my time when I go out with my high school friends.
We are becoming closer than ever before.
We never ran out of topic to discuss.
From music, film, job and love life.
Most of the time we talk about career.
This time we went to Starbucks.
We ordered Apple Pie, Cheese Cake, and Chocolate Cream Chip.
Two cakes and one drink.
We only ordered one drink because it's quite expensive.
During that time I said this is our friendship glass.
Sharing a glass of drink with the people you love is a nice feeling.
For the apple pie we gave 2 out of 5 stars.
For the cheese cake we gave 9 out of 10 stars, it was superb.
Too bad it was too expensive.
We had to pay 30.000 only for  a piece of cake.
In other restaurant I can order one meal for 30.000.
After that we went to celebrate Apao's birthday.
We had dinner at Xiang-Xiang Seafood Restaurant
and followed by a karaoke night.
We were singing like crazy.
It was so much fun.
Then Lenny had this idea of creating a blog to share our culinary experience.
Looking forward to it.
Okay.
Its 12.25 am.
Enough for today.
Bye.

Ps. I just found out that my best friend has a blog. A new one I guess. Make sure you check it out >> http://ghlittleworld.wordpress.com/

Mean Moms

Someday when my children are old enough to
understand the logic that motivates a parent,
I will tell them, as my Mean Mom told me:
‘I loved you enough to ask where you were going,
with whom, and what time you would be home.

I loved you enough to be silent and let you
discover that your new best friend was a creep.

I loved you enough to stand over you for
two hours while you cleaned your room,
a job that should have taken 15 minutes.

I loved you enough to let you see anger,

disappointment, and tears in my eyes.

Children must
learn that their parents aren’t perfect..

I loved you enough to let you assume the
responsibility for your actions even when the
penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart.

But most of all, I loved you enough to say
NO when I knew you would hate me for it.

Those were the most difficult battles of all.

I’m glad I won them, because in the end you won, too.
And someday when your children are old enough to
understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them.

Was your Mom mean?

I know mine was.

We had the meanest mother in the whole world!
While other kids ate candy for breakfast,
we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast.

When others had a Coca Cola and chips for lunch,
we had to eat home cooked meals.

And you can guess our mother fixed us a dinner that was
different from what other kids had, too.

Mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times.

You’d think we were convicts in a prison.

She had to know who our friends were
and what we were doing with them.
She insisted that if we said we
would be gone for an hour, we would be gone for an hour or less.

We were ashamed to admit it,

but she had the nerve to break
the Child Labor Laws by making us work.

We had to wash the dishes, make the beds,

learn to cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry,
empty the trash and all sorts of cruel
jobs.

I think she would lie awake at night
thinking of more things for us to do.

She always insisted on us telling the truth,
the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

By the time we were teenagers,
she could read our minds
and had eyes in the back of her head.
Then, life was really tough!

Mother wouldn’t let our friends just hoot at the gate
when they drove up
They had to come up to the door
so she could meet them.

Because of our mother we missed out
on lots of things other kids experienced.

None of us have ever
been caught shoplifting, vandalizing other people’s
property or ever arrested for any crime.

It was all her fault.

Now that we have left home, we are all educated, honest adults.
We are doing our best to be mean parents just like Mom was.

I think that is what’s wrong with the world today.
It just doesn’t have enough mean moms!’

PASS THIS ON TO ALL THE MEAN MOTHERS YOU KNOW.
(And Their Kids)

So Totally True

Being 32

While showering I found myself thinking what will I become 10 years from now on. I am not the kind of person who always set a plan for everything. Including my career and love life. I am the type of person who just go with the flow. I go wherever life takes me. And I will do my best when I'm in it.
Lets say If I am married then I'll be a stay home mother. Waking up every morning, preparing breakfast, playing with the kids, cooking, taking tons photos of my kids, waiting for my husband to come home, having dinner, having late night talk with my loves one.
Lets say If I am still single (which I hope do not happen) then I'll be pursuing my dreams. Working for the Unicef. Helping the kids around the world. Be a professional photographer. Traveling around the world. Tasting the exotic foods. Teaching English.
No matter what will I be, I just hope that I'll be a better person than I am now. Be wiser than today. For being 22 I can make a lot of mistakes and I still have the time to fix it. I wish I could be 22 forever. Forever young!!

Daily Devotional

No Fear

by Joyce Meyer - posted October 22, 2011

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
—2 Timothy 1:7
In this passage of Scripture, Paul was encouraging Timothy and saying, "You may feel like giving up, but you have everything you need to succeed. The Holy Spirit gives you peace and the power to face anything. Press on without fear!"
You may not understand what is going on in the world around you, but you must trust God through it all. You can pray and ask God for answers, but when heaven is silent you need to keep doing what God has told us to do and just trust Him. God will make all the pieces work together for His purpose, even when you don't see tomorrow clearly. Tomorrow's answers usually don't come until tomorrow.

Happy Friday!!!

Have a good day everyone.
Tomorrow is weekend.
Yay.

For yesterday is gone,
and tomorrow is a mystery,
that is why we should enjoy today
as it is our last day on earth.

Love you all.

I never told you - Colbie Caillat

I miss those blue eyes
How you kiss me at night
I miss the way we sleep

Like there's no sunrise
Like the taste of your smile
I miss the way we breathe

But I never told you
What I should had said
No, I never told you
I just held it in

And now I miss everything about you
I can't believe that I still want you
After all the things we've been through
I miss everything about you
Without you, woah

I see your blue eyes
Everytime I close mine
You make it hard to see
Where I belong to
When I'm not around you
It's like I'm not with me

But I never told you
What I should had said
No, I never told you
I just held it in

And now I miss everything about you
(Still, you're gone)
I can't believe that I still want you
(Havin' lovin' you, I never should've walked away)
After all the things we've been through
(I know it's never gonna come again)
I miss everything about you
Without you, woah
(O-o-oh ou)

But I never told you
What I should have said
No, I never told you
I just held it in

And now I miss everything about you
(Still, you're gone)
I can't believe that I still want you
(Havin' lovin' you, I never should've walked away)
After all the things we've been through
(I know it's never gonna come again)
I miss everything about you
Without you, woah

Oh no no
Na-no o-oh
Mmm mmm nah-mmm

Lunch Delight Date

Had a lunch date with my high school friends.
It was a good time.

We laughed.
And I really enjoyed it.

Hey You

I need to hear it.
From your very own mouth.

My Christmas Wish list

Dear Santa,

These are my wish list for this year :

1. Nikon speed light, either  SB 700 or SB 900
2. Nikon lenses, either 50 mm f.1.4 or 60 mm f.2.8
3. Cumpler camera bag, either 5 million or 6 million
4. Two kisses for Mady by Matt Logelin.
5. A BOYFRIEND

Please grant my wish this year.
I've been good Santa.
Believe me.

Sincerely,
Angel

Emotional Breakdown

You just annoy me so much.
You have hit the maximum button.
Just because you are giving me money every month,
that does not mean you can control my life.
I work my ass off for it.
I earn that money.
I bet you don't understand.
Because all you see is her.
I am nothing to you.
Not even her shadow.
Really.
I think I might just disappear.
Boom.

Have You Ever Been in Love?

Have you ever been in love?
Horrible isn't it?
It makes you so vulnerable.
It opens your chest and it opens up your heart
and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up.
You build up all these defenses,
you build up a whole suit of armor,
so that nothing can hurt you,
then one stupid person,
no different than any other stupid person,
wanders into your stupid life...
you give them a piece of you,
They did not asked for it.
They did something dumb one day,
like kiss you or smile at you,
and then your life is not your own anymore,
love takes hostages,
It gets inside you.
It eats you out,
and leaves you crying in the darkness,
so a simple phrase like,
"maybe we should just be friends",
turns into a glass splinter
working its way into your heart.
It hurts.
Not just in the imagination.
Not just in the mind.
It's  a soul-hurt.
a real-gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain.
I hate love.
